Parkersburg 5, Greenbrier East 1

PARKERSBURG — Five players scored goals in defending state champion Parkersburg’s victory.

Cody Brown, Tim Stephens, Keiran Spader, Derik Craft and Thomas Kearns all found the back of the net for the Big Reds. Keeper Brent McGee had five saves.

Michael Prevett scored the Spartans’ lone goal, off an assist from Hayden Roberts. Jake Stephens made 10 saves.

East (0-4) hosts Princeton at 7 p.m. Thursday.
