Winfield boys rout Ravenswood 10-0

Kyle Huffman, Zack Markham and Jason Huffman each scored twice for host Winfield, which improved to 2-0 after a 10-0 win over Ravenswood in boys soccer Tuesday.

The other Winfield goals came from Parker Wolfe, John Campbell, Dustin Atick and Alex Ryan.

·           Generals keeper Caleb Martin didn’t need to make a save as Winfield outshot the Red Devils 32-1. Ravenswood keeper John Scritchfield had 12 saves.

·           PARKERSBURG 2, CAPITAL 0: Thomas Kerns and Cody Brown each scored a goal for the visiting Big Reds. Parkersburg keeper Brent McGee made eight saves.

·           SC 4, SPRING VALLEY 1: Hasan Katrib scored three goals and Nick Burock added one for South Charleston (1-1), which accidentally scored the only goal for Springs Valley (0-1).

·           HURRICANE 1, HUNTINGTON 0: Chris Lipinski scored on a header off a cross from Colin Miles with 14 minutes to play in the second half to help the Redskins (2-0) edge the Highlanders (0-1). Huntington’s Chris Owens tallied eight saves while Noah Blackhurst had three for Hurricane. The Redskins outshot Huntington 20-3.

·           ST. ALBANS 8, LINCOLN 0: Chris Bartley, Ryan Haddox and Bijan Dastgheib netted two goals apiece to pace the visiting Red Dragons. Billy Aldridge and Mike Mellinger each chipped in a goal for SA (1-1) and keeper Matt Searls turned in seven saves. Lincoln County dropped to 0-2.

SISSONVILLE 1, POINT 0: Cameron Hughes scored with 3:31 left on an assist by Ryan Bailey to lift the visiting Indians. Keeper Cory Means had 15 saves for Sissonville (1-1). For Point Pleasant (0-1), Jacob Sayre stopped 17 shots
