From Jefferson downs GW girls 2-0

PARKERSBURG 1, WHEELING PARK 0: Taylor Bryant scored on 25-yard shot to give Parkersburg a 1-0 victory over Wheeling Park in the girls semifinals of the West Virginia high school soccer tournament Friday.

Bryant’s winning goal came in the 57th minute of the game.

“I was wide open and no one was coming towards me,’’ Bryant said. “Coach [Mike Lockney] told us if no one was on us, to take the shot. So I did.’’

Parkersburg takes a 22-1-2 record into today’s title game against Jefferson.
